Reviews and Publicity of <UK Guide for Chinese Students>

"A powerful introduction and guide for anyone considering study in the UK. In a fast moving world it is difficult to get all the information one should consider and Yintong Betser has managed to draw together information, facts and figures in a way that makes sense and is fun and readable. As a first step for a Chinese student studying in the UK, this is a great tool. Oxford Brookes University, one of the UK’s most popular institutions, heartily recommends this guide."
-  Rob Aldridge, Regional Manager East Asia, Oxford Brookes University 2011

"We are very excited about this opportunity with ACTIVE and are delighted to be involved in such a significant project.  Studying overseas is an important experience in a Chinese student’s life and it is also an investment representing the aspirations and investment of their parents.  I believe that through their time studying and living in the UK, these future decision-makers will develop a global perspective and realise their full potential of employability."
-   Phillip Hao, Director, UVIC

About the Team

  • The Managing Editor

Yintong Betser was born in Beijing, moved to London in 1993.   In 2001, Yintong founded Active-Anglo Chinese Communications - a marketing consultancy specialising in business between the two countries. This has enabled her to capitalise on her varied experience and draw upon her deep understanding of both Western and Chinese cultures.  While running her business, Yintong attained a Masters degree in marketing to supplement her first-hand experience and to add extra strength to her communications offering.

Yintong is a regular contributor to the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry publication - London Business Matters, writing a column on themes and issues relating to China.  She is also nominated as an ambassador for the Chamber.

Based on their first-hand experiences and knowledge, Yintong has led her team to have written and published <UK Guide for Chinese Student> this year, in addition to a set of business handbooks:  Active Business Travel – Great Britain (in Chinese) and Active Business Travel – China (in English).
